Nancy Drew

For anyone who knows me, you will understand how much I love books and reading.  I have been a reading teacher for the past seven years and the one thing I am so proud of is that I get to get kids TOTALLY into books.  One of my favorite characters of all time is Nancy Drew.  I still have my Nancy Drew Cookbook on my kitchen shelf.  Danann got this adorable trench coat and we had a fun time just goofing around on a Sunday afternoon.

This was really fun because it lead to the real mystery of the Easter Egg hunting.  Totally in character….

I am going to try thing again.  I have tried to post a few times and the computer froze.  A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of going to Washington DC.  As part of the Alice Paul Liberty Fellowship, a group of teachers toured the capital.  We had a wonderful time but it was very difficult to be away of the kids and Dave.

Lily turns 2

My niece Lily had her second birthday the weekend before my birthday.  I love these Ares birthdays!!!  She is adorable.  It was nice to see the McGeorges and had a wonderful time with our cousins.

After the snow

After 30 minutes of getting prepared to go outside and 30 minutes to “un-layer” the kids got to have homemade cookies and hot chocolate.  David, of course, dipped his cookies in Apple juice.

Winter Day in March

I first would like to say that I did say I would be better at this blogging thing…..  Already I am a month behind.  So, I am sorry about that.

The first day of March was a Snow Day, school was canceled and I was home with the kids for the day.  It was a great day of cookie making and playing in the snow.  Bailey had the best time of all!  We were wiped out.  I am always amazing at moms who stay home with their children.  One day and I am looking forward to going back to work.  It might have been the idea of staying actually home and not having an opportunity to go anywhere.

However, I did get to play with the camera.
