Funeral

This morning I was asked to document a truly honorable event.  In the town I grew up and now teach in, a firefighter was given a full firefighter service.  Here was a man who was an active volunteer for 62 years.  I felt blessed to be a part of the morning.  There is something about a community of firefighters or police officers.  There is fellowship that makes my heart swell and takes my breath away.  There are so many images that I am working through but I thought I would just share a few of my favorites at this point.

I also had the opportunity to bring my kids to the station afterwards (It pays to be connected..thanks to the chief and Max)  While Max let the kids explore the trucks, I was able to photograph the equipment and the locker before it was sealed.

Thank you to the Moorestown Fire Department!  You all were so gracious to me and my camera, it was an honor!  I will continue to post and will send images as I edit them… so more to come!
